Presbyterian Women’s groups have a history dating back over 200 years. They are known for their mission work and advocacy for women and children, African Americans, Native Americans, and immigrants. They have gone into the field to support societal difficulties. Several times a year, there are gatherings of Presbyterian Women. We are excited to say that the fall gathering for the Presbytery of Geneva is being hosted by First Presbyterian Church of Horseheads! This year’s guest speaker is Pastora Evelyn Torres – Ramírez, pastor of First Pres’ partner church in Lares, Puerto Rico. The gathering, October 17, 10 a.m. -2 ish, will begin with fellowship, proceed to worship, and end with a luncheon. To reserve your spot, please email Joanne Tunison at lalocat@aol.com. We hope to see you there!
